Solstice Party!

June 21 is International Yoga Day and it's also National Indigenous Peoples Day. That sounds like we should celebrate!

Join us, outside on the yoga deck behind Bala studio to shop, socialize and take a yoga class. Participate in all or some of the events. Shopping and social starts at 5:30pm, class is at 6:15pm and we will wrap up around 9pm.

Local makers and vendors will be on-site and details to be announced as we get closer to the event.

Details on the class:

-Class is by donation of what you can afford to The Barrie Native Friendship Centre

-There is space for 16 on the deck and lots of space on the surrounding lawn

-All experience levels and abilities welcome

-Come 10 minutes early if you've never been to class here before to fill out a new student form

-Bring a mat if you have one, but mats are available to use if you don't

Details on the clothing swap:

-Go through your closests to find clothing and accessories to the studio to donate  

- All items must be clean, without stains or rips

-Yoga clothes, dress clothes, every day clothes, purses, hats are all welcome

-no swimwear, PJs or underwear please

-Drop off clothing any time from June 1 - 20 when you come to class or make arrangements with Jessy to drop off your things

-Exchange each item of clothing you dontate for a ticket

-Tickets are redeemable at the event. The value of a ticket is one item of your choice in the swap

-You can purchase tickets without donating items for $5 each

-All money raised from the clothing swap will be donated to CONTACT in Alliston

-Left over items will be donated to The Clothes Line in Alliston. The Clothes Line is run by CONTACT Community Services, a non-profit organization in New Tecumseth 

Covid Details:

-Masks are welcome, but not enforced

-Sanitizer is available if you want it
