What is a retreat?

A yoga retreat is quite simply put as a healthy all-inclusive vacation. While each retreat is a little different, what you can count on is comfortable accommodations, all of your meals, daily yoga classes and adventures with a group of people who will become the friends you never knew you needed.

FAQ

Can my allergies or food restrictions be accommodated? Of course. Before we leave on retreat you can rest assured that the retreat centre will have a full list of our food requirements. On site chefs will take this into account as they make meal plans to take care of all of our needs.

What if I'm out of shape or haven't done much yoga? The best part about yoga is that it's for everyone. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Jessy is good at teaching to a group of students with different abilities and giving options to suit all. Going on a retreat is a great way to start a yoga practice. With small class sizes, time to ask questions and the duration of the trip to establish your practice, you will come away with a good base of yoga experience.

What about coming on retreat alone? You don't need to know anyone to sign up for a retreat. You can choose a private room or have Jessy try to match you up with a roommate. The group will be together for practices, meals and excursions - but don't worry, you will get some down time too. You will leave the retreat with a new group of friends. Many past retreat groups keep in touch and have formed lasting friendships

How do flights work? Booking your flight is up to you, but that doesn't mean that you're alone to do it. You will receive all the details you need to know to book the best flight for you. AND if that sounds like stress, Jessy works with a travel agent who can take care of it all for you, saving you time and money.

Apart from the opportunity of getting good yoga sessions in, the added meditation, times of silence,  snorkeling trip and the mountain trek made the experience one of the best things I have done.  I felt refreshed and blessed from being there and sad I had to leave .  A big thank you to Jessy and I will be on the next trip with her.

The comradery between members was fantastic from the 1st day. I liked getting to know the people I'd been saying hi to the last 4 years. I thought there was a great balance between yoga, group activities and personal down time. I left feeling very different, in a positive way, than when I arrived.
