Quintana Roo

Our retreat is located in the quiet village of Paamul, in Quintana Roo, Mexico.  It’s an area rich in history, culture, and natural beauty, with popular tourist destinations close by.

The area is world famous for white sand beaches and clear blue waters, jungle, ceynotes, Aztec & Mayan history.

Daily Yoga & Meditation

Wake up in the morning to a session of breathwork, meditation and yoga, guided by Jessy.

​

Some days there will be extra opportunity to explore a part of the practice with a little more depth.

​

After a full day of adventuring, a yoga class to ease you into sleep.

Fresh & Local Meals 

Your retreat features an exquisite menu offering deep Mexican roots with contemporary style influences, local and ethical ingredients, and will follow any dietary restrictions you may have.

All meals (with the exception of lunch out on one of our excursions) are included along with fresh fruit, juices, water and coffee/tea.

Free Time

A yoga retreat means adventure and making friends to some people and relaxation and solitude to others.

Whatever your perfect retreat is, you will have time, built into the week to use how you choose.

 Maybe you relax in a hammock, take out a kayak or bike to a neighbouring beach, there's lots of ways to connect with this beautiful place.

Included Adventures

It's not all yoga on retreat. We go out on adventures as a group too. 

​

Included in your retreat is a guided trip to explore the ruins of Tulum as well as a trip to one of Mexico's infamous cenotes to swim in it crystal clear waters - and maybe a jump for the brave.

Where You'll Stay

Paamul, Mexico

Our retreat host is an ocean-front Villa in the Mexican Riviera Maya. The rooftop studio space offers panoramic views of the beautiful Caribbean ocean - perfect for a sunrise or sunset practice. 

​

The layout of the villa is spacious and well thought out. All of Copal's private suites are steps away from the pool, with an ocean breeze and some with a view of the beautiful Caribbean Sea.

Your Room

Each room at the villa is fabulous and comes with A/C, ceiling fan, wifi, towels for the beach and a yoga mat.

 

Private and double rooms with either a single king bed or two double beds are available. The best views go to who books first, so get on it.

The Villa

A total of 11 rooms, this beautiful villa was renovated from a family home into a yoga retreat centre. 

​

Proud to be on a wildlife sanctuary beach, Copal boasts an abundance of palm trees, tropical flowers, sea shells, weathered limestone, hermit crabs, iguanas and pelicans, plus a galaxy worth of stars at night to gaze up at.

Yoga Platform

The open-air yoga platform is on the top floor of the villa for the best view of the sunrise. There's also a second yoga space for if it's hot in the sun or rainy.

​

Practice yoga and meditate with a view of, and breeze from, the Caribbean Sea in front and jungle behind us every day.

Your Facilitator

Jessy Thomas

Jessy has worked in the fitness and yoga world her entire adult lift. Her resume includes personal training, TRX, spin, Animal Flow and many yoga trainings. Her yoga style is a blend of Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin and somatic movement. 

​

Jessy has worked with people to prepare or recover from surgeries and injuries. She's got a keen eye for body mechanics and movement and can help any person to clean up their body's movement inefficiencies and move with greater ease and better performance.

​

When she's not doing yoga, Jessy loves lifting weights, playing like a child, scuba diving and generally geeking out on the natural world.

You can expect to be met where you are at. Jessy is great at teaching to a wide variety of abilities and experience.

You will benefit with yoga postures and fitness exercises tailored to you and your goals.

 

Jessy’s compassion, creativity and attention to detail keeps students engaged in a fun and safe way. Whatever your goal, she will motivate you to get there.
